I am ready to finish my guitar and wanted to know people's opinion on whether Behlen violin varnish is better to use than nitrocelulose laquer. I notice the varnish is more expensive. But is it good on guitars?nickton38812.1918981482

At a Northwoods seminar many years ago Thomas Humphrey spoke rather highly of it. He said that after much research and trouble trying to create the perfect ratios of shellac with gums mastic and sandarac, he tried a bottle of Behlen's Violin Varnish and felt it was a near exact match to the mix he had come to.
